The Bluety Story
Bluety was created from a simple perspective.
I realized the word beauty is often treated as something to reach. A direction people are told to move toward.
I wanted Bluety to do the opposite.
To remind you that you already are.
Our slogan is “Beauty isn’t borrowed. It’s yours.”
So the role of our products is not transformation, but recognition.
You may notice our packaging carries a reflective, mirror like shine.
This was intentional. A mirror does not change what it reflects, it simply lets you see what is already there.
In the same way, Bluety doesn’t add beauty.
It helps you notice it.
Sometimes a sparkle is only visible from certain angles, often the angles we don’t see ourselves, but others do.

Why Bluety Exists
Bluety began out of frustration with beauty feeling like a performance.
Perfectly scripted videos.
Paid reviews pretending to be personal.
Products designed to look good on camera more than they worked in real life.
Beauty slowly became staged and transactional. So I wanted something human again.
Not convincing.
Not pushing.
Not performing.
That’s why we don’t do scripted posts or paid ads.
If someone talks about Bluety, it’s because they actually want to.
No contracts.
No pressure.
Just conversation and trust.
We don’t try to make everyone love us.
We let the right people find us.

Where We Come From
Bluety is a K-beauty brand, in the same way I’m Korean.
Rooted in Korea, shaped in California.
Our formulas are developed and manufactured in Korea using high quality ingredients and advanced beauty technology, while our packaging, community, and fulfillment live in California.
It was never about following one standard.
It was about creating space for your own.
Every product is cruelty free, thoughtfully made, and designed to actually perform, not just look pretty.

Every order gives back through The Pomi Project, named after my late best friend of 14 years who taught me softness better than anything else could.

We launched in June 2025, and what began as an idea has grown into a community, online, at pop ups, and on shelves from OCMA to San Francisco.
But Bluety was never meant to feel like just a product in your hands.

The Girl Behind Bluety
Hi, I’m Kaylee.
If you’ve found your way here, you’ve probably seen my face on TikTok and thought, “Wait… who is this girl?” Or maybe you’ve been around for a while and just wanted to know a little more about the person behind Bluety.
I was born and raised in California, and I’ve always loved beauty, but I’ve also always been a little… contradictory. I’m absolutely terrified of spiders, heights and the deep ocean (like, truly freaked out), and yet somehow I’m also the biggest adrenaline junkie.
I’ve gone skydiving.
I’ve gone swimming with sharks in the Bermuda Triangle.
I’ve done an open door helicopter ride. At one point, I even wanted to learn how to fly a private jet, never got there, but the curiosity was real.
I think that contrast has always been a part of me. Soft but brave. Nervous but curious. Grounded, but always wanting to try something just a little scary. And honestly, that’s exactly how Bluety feels too.
Growing up, I was constantly confused by the difference between U.S. beauty standards and Korean beauty standards. They’re polar opposites. How was I supposed to do my blush? My lips? My brows? My base?
Should I follow U.S. standards because I live here? Or Korean standards because I’m Korean, and my features naturally align more with that approach?
For a long time, I felt like I had to choose. And the truth is, neither ever fully felt right. Eventually, I realized something simple, but life changing: I didn’t need to follow anyone else’s standard. I just needed to do me. Do whatever worked for me. Be the standard for myself.
That realization is where Bluety was born. Bluety exists to make beauty feel freeing instead of prescriptive. To create products that meet you where you are, instead of telling you who to be. To remind you that there’s no “right” way to look, only what feels like you.
This brand isn’t about perfection.
It’s about confidence without permission.
And showing up as yourself, fully.
